DtsArt Desgin team. Red Bird!

This week Dardi gave us the cutest little red bird to work with, and I absolutely love this little guy. I knew I would end up making a card with him, but I wanted to do something more then just a "normal" card. So I was thinking it would be fun to make him a spinner card, and then I remembered on the pooh and friends cart there is a log so I thought it would be really great to make him spinning down the log! I absolutely love how this came out, I don't think it could be any cuter.

Baby gift

I made these Baby onesies when I made the monkey one that I posted awhile ago. These were for a co-worker who was expecting her 1st baby girl.

couple of cards

I made these 2 cards awhile ago but forgot to post them. I made them with some new SU goodies.

 

Cake toppers.

My Co-workers Birthday was today so I made her, her favorite cup cakes and then used my cricut to make these cute little lady bug toppers. I did them all in scal. She Loved them.

This card is for my co-workers birthday this week. She loves lady bugs.This guy was cut with create a critter and the background was cut on SCAL

Scrap cards for soldiers

I used more scraps to make these cards. I cut the top note and circles with SCAL. I cut the top note 1st and then glued on the squares and then I cut off the excess.

The sheep was cut at 3 inches, and the Thank Ewe was cut with SCAL

Lady bug, I think these were also cut at 3 inches. The background and circles were both cut with SCAL, and the stamp is from SU

I cut these penguins for another project but they were to big so they were perfect for these cards. The Happy Birthday is with the bear on Create a critter

Isn't the owl just the cutest! I made the background paper by stamping the paper 1st.

Items for my NSSS

I've been busy working on gifts for my NSSS and since she got her package I can finally share all the goodies I made for her.


Here is the card I made for her. The turtle and "friends" is from create a critter.

And this is the tote. I did this like you do the freezer t's but used vinyl instead of the freezer paper. I made the design for this in SCAL.

I'm going to post the rest in another post because I've got a lot of pictures.

Birthday gift.

This week is my MIL's birthday so last night I was busy making her a birthday gift. Here's what I came up with.

The Card - She loves penguins:

 The penguins and hats are from create a critter, the 2 blue hats are from the snake I cut them at 4 inches and then just cut the hat off, the pink one is from the cat and cut at 3inches. The penguins were cut at 2.5 inches. The back ground papers I cut with scal using a nesties look alike font that a women on the cricut site made and shared. The Happy Birthday stamp is from SU Big Bold Birthdays.

Mothers day gift - for my MIL.

Here is the gift I made for my MIL.

Here is the card I made, The lady bug is from Create a critter, I cut the boarder with a MS PATP set, and then used some lace and a stamp to spice it up, the paper is SU:

Graduation Cards

Today I've been busy working on graduation cards for our social work intern who graduates next Saturday. A bunch of us are going out to dinner with her Friday night to celebrate! Two of the cards are for my co-workers to sign as they are all giving me money to get her a gift card with, the other one I'm going to write something sappy in to and give it to her from me.

This one I got my inspiration from a card paperflowers posted on the cricut MB. She used wildcard for hers. I used create a critter for the owl and branch, and cut the graduation cap from everyday paper dolls. The the saying I used nestabilities- labels 3. For the back ground of this card I used 3 SU ink colors, Bermuda Bay, Tempting Turquoise, and Brilliant Blue I had a little sponge dabber thing (no idea what they are called) and I would dab in one color then on the paper, then the next color, etc until it was covered.

I did a little strip of paper the same way I did the background to put on the envelope and inside of the card. (you can see the envelope in the back.)

The next 2 cards I got the inspiration for from the CradMaker mag zine issue May '10.  

For the background on this one I used Pewter Liquid pearls to make the silver lines and then stamped a congrats stamp all over. For the little envelope for the gift card I used a pattern that was in the magazine. For the caps, can you believe I don't have a cap stamp? So I cut a little cap using SCAL and then used it as a stencil with those little sponge dabber things again. I then put 3D crystal Lacquer over the hats and sprinkled a little glitter on top. I did the envelope the same as the card.

For the inside, I found this really cute svg file on the SCAL forum.

For the background on the last one I wanted to play with the shaving cream technique. I found directions for this here: http://sunflowersanddragonflies.blogspot.com/2007/08/shaving-cream-technique.html I recommend using gloves when doing this because I know have green figures. For the saying I printed it out and then actually burned the edges. The hat and scroll are also from Everyday paper dolls.

Mothers day gift - mom word book

For mothers day this year I made my mom my first word book.

A close up of the sides, I don't have a bind it all so I used a couple of rings I had and covered them with some ribbon.

The back of the m, its hard to read but I wrote a few quotes about being a mom, and then wrote a little note telling her all the reasons I love her.
